Performance

Structural Composition Of Jaw Crusher

1. Frame: The frame is a rigid frame with four walls that is open at the top and bottom. It is used to support the eccentric shaft and bear the reaction force of the crushed material. It requires sufficient strength and rigidity. It is generally cast as a whole with cast steel. Small machines can also use high-quality cast iron instead of cast steel. The frame needs to be cast in sections and then firmly connected into a whole with bolts. The casting process is complicated.

2. Jaw plate and side guard plate: Both the fixed jaw and the movable jaw are composed of a jaw bed and a jaw plate. The jaw plate is the working part and is fixed to the jaw bed with bolts and wedges. The jaw bed of the fixed jaw is the front wall of the frame, and the movable jaw is suspended on the shaft. It must have sufficient strength and rigidity to withstand the crushing reaction force, so most of them are cast steel or cast iron parts.

3. Transmission parts: The eccentric shaft is the main shaft of the jaw crusher. It is subject to huge bending and torsion forces and is made of high carbon steel. The eccentric part must be finely processed, heat treated, and the bearing lining is cast with Babbitt alloy. A pulley is installed at one end of the eccentric shaft and a flywheel is installed at the other end.

4. Adjustment device: The adjustment device includes wedge type, pad type and hydraulic type. Generally, the wedge type is used, which consists of two wedges in front and back. The front wedge can move forward and backward to support the rear push plate; the rear wedge is an adjustment wedge, which can move up and down. The inclined surfaces of the two wedges are inverted and fitted. The screw moves the rear wedge up and down to adjust the size of the discharge port. The discharge port adjustment of the small jaw crusher is achieved by increasing or decreasing the number of gaskets between the rear thrust plate support and the frame.

5. Flywheel: The flywheel of the jaw crusher is used to store the energy of the movable jaw during the empty stroke, and then used in industrial formation to make the working of the machine tend to be uniform. The pulley also plays the role of a flywheel. The flywheel is often made of cast iron or cast steel. The flywheel of a small machine is often made into an integral type. When the flywheel is manufactured, pay attention to static balance during installation.

6. Lubrication device: Eccentric shaft bearings usually use centralized circulation lubrication. The support surfaces of the mandrel and thrust plate are generally lubricated with grease through a manual oil gun. The swing angle of the movable jaw is very small, making it difficult to lubricate the mandrel and the bearing. Several axial oil grooves are often opened at the bottom of the bearing, and an annular oil groove is opened in the middle to connect them. Then, dry butter is forced to be injected with an oil pump for lubrication.

Use And Maintenance Of Jaw Crusher

In order to ensure the normal operation of the jaw crusher, in addition to correct operation, planned maintenance must be carried out, including daily maintenance inspection, minor repairs, medium repairs and major repairs.

1. Minor repair The main contents include checking and repairing the adjustment device, adjusting the gap of the discharge port, turning or replacing the worn liner, checking the transmission part and lubrication system, and changing the lubricating oil in time. The cycle of minor repairs is about 1 to 3 months.

2. Medium repair In addition to minor repairs, it also includes replacing the thrust plate, liner, checking and repairing the bearing, etc. The cycle of medium repairs is generally about 1 to 2 years.

3. Overhaul also includes the replacement of turned eccentric shaft and jaw shaft, casting of Babbitt alloy on the upper part of the connecting rod head, and replacement or repair of worn parts. The cycle is generally about 5 years.
